Name: Raidon Hichiban
Alias: None
Rank: Genin.
Gender: Male
Age: 12 yrs
Village: Konogakure no Sato
Clan: None
Appearance: WIP
Special body armor: None, he doesn't even have any special clothing yet.
Personality: Everyone knows these young males, how they act, how they are, and more than likely, who they are. It's not hard to spot them in any crowd, no matter the size. The guy everyone remembers for being the laid back, goofy, happy-go-lucky, ladies man who just seems to do his job as a ninja to have a good laugh and show off. And yet the same guy who seems to be born to lead, born to be in the spotlight, and over-all, just do what he wants in general, rightfully expecting everyone to follow in toe. You know, that guy who was always sleeping contently at the back of the class in the Acadamy, looking confused and irritated when he's woken up. The guy who gets along with just about everyone, especially the girls, thanks to his big heart and even bigger grin. That one boy who made those girls giggle because hed show off by walking on the brick wall above everone else, and yet sulked when he was scolding in front of everyone. The boy most found could be strickingly charming and silky smooth with his words when he wanted to be. Well, here he is, and his name is Raidon.
Everything about him is about charm and social grace. Hell, even his name suggests he is a bit of a handful to have as a friend. As Leo the Lion rules over the jungle as king of beasts, Raidon(meaning, naturally, lion) himself rules over everyone around him, as king of the stage. Okay, so he doesn't, but don't tell him that, you'd break his big egotistical heart. You won't catch him sulking in the corner at any party or social gathering, no! He's up and about, complimenting and worming his way into the hearts of everyone. "Oh no, don't worry about it, you look lovely!" He boasted out your dress. And even as he lied through his teeth, he dazzled you with an "honest" smile that only he could ever pull off in such a situation. But that's not unusual. He's a natural born leader of the pack and he isn't at all afraid to show it, even if he doesn't realize he's not at the top of the heap just yet. Authority, when taken from him and given to his fellow ninja(IE, the people who truley do rule over him, teachers, high ranking ninja, etc.), brings a great fuss in his nature. He works wonders at the top of the pile and he knows it. He just doesn't get why everyone else doesn't. Its easy to spot the commanding air about him as Raidon gazes down from his throne at the silly mortals beneath him. It's in his blood to do so. The way he walks alone signifies that he demands utter respect from you and everyone around you. Hardly ever slouching and taking a slow, deliberate and even stride as he meanders passed, its easy to see his throne just as clearly as he can in that arrogant head of his.
But even as he longs to be at the head of the social standing, theres a humble modesty that alures even the lowly geeks and freaks to him. He's not a bad guy, honestly. Arrogant and egotistical as he may be, he's but a silly, goofy kind of person along for the ride. Work? What is this work that you speak of? Raidon is about as motivated as your average sloth, so he's not about to waste his energy in worrying about trivial tasks. He is a king, dammit! And he should be treated as such. He's here for the show! For the attention, for the fun! Why stress over trivial assignments!?! This is where the modesty comes to a screeching hault. He's far to mellow and laid back for such meaningless things. Let those loyal subjects and servents of his take care of the trivial acts of training and what not, give him something that gives him some sort of authority. Tell him to lead the group on a mission, to go off and deliver some important news, to watch over everyone to be sure they are doing what they should. In his eyes, he's above everyone and everything, including training to become a chuunin. Go ahead, try and convince him that he isn't good enough. NO! Thats absolutly the worse thing you could do! Youll only be met with a brutal onslaught of verbal accusations and stubborn refusal to ever obey anyone again. No, to win him over and draw him from his seat in his throne, you must appeal to his vanity and pride. Remember, he longs for nothing more than to be superior in all ways possible. Tell him of how not training will force him behind his team mates, behind his peers, behind his idea of the top, and suddenly, that lazy lion will leap forth and be one hundred times more willing and determined than anyone you could have thought possible. He's not a lazy person, you see. He just finds himself above such silly things like training and being told what to do by a teacher. It questions and challenges his authority, something dear Raidon will NOT stand for. He sees all of Konoha as his kingdom and don't be shocked if you see him as Hokage one day. While that's not his deam, don't be surprised. He wants to be the Lion King he was born to be, not some scrawny villager plundering about. It's no surprise that he plans to make it one day, to sit behind that head police mans desk. I'll repeat that; He PLANS to become the head of Konohas police force, not "He WANTS to be blah, blah, blah." Another thing he has a great deal of, arrogant determination and greed. When he wants something, well the servents and pheasents had better as heck 'rouse themselves to tend to their needy king. Sadly, as his younger, more naive mind hasn't yet been able to grasp anything beyond himself, you can rest assured that his plans to be the head police nin are simply because the position rests at the top, where he feels he must be.
Dispite his endless sins of vanity, he is what he is. There's not much he has to hide, no complexity to his character, no smoke and mirrors to hide any sort of emotional detatchment or insecurities. His intentions are deliberate and generally he has a good heart towards his "subjects". His highness will more than happily glid down from his throne, on his toes and head held high, to help a friend in need. That's not to say he will baby you, quite the opposite in fact. Instead, he will stand sturdily and hold out a helping hand to pull you back up, and then somehow coax you into being more confident as he stands up for you and gives you a shoulder to lean on. Friends come easily as Raidons' laid back character allows him the option of getting along with darn near everyone. And better still, his loyalty is unwavering right from the start. Go ahead and try and attack one of his friends and you will suddenly think twice before rubbing this big cat(that's right, he's a bit of alion himself, you know) the wrong way again. To attack someone who(he belives) is a part of his imagnary kingdom and he sees it as attacking he himself. The mighty king will just as happily leap down from his throne to defend him subjects as he will sit on the thing and accept their applause. But isn't it natural? All good kings support and love their subject and in Raidons case, they are his family. His kingdom is open to everyone and everything. You can eat fire, juggle knives, have two heads, four arms and twelve eyes, you are his friend and somehow, he will justify your actions and...er, choice of appearence. He can seem stuck up and self centered, and often times such things do actually slip past his kind reveire, but you'll learn to overlook his dramatic antics and vanity and see that he is only being the good leader. But remember that his highness won't tolerate mutiny. He asks but two things: feed his everlasting need for attention, and swear unwavering loyalty to your king. And the lines are drawn with generous strokes, mind you. His anger is hardly ever 'roused and he prefers to sit upon his golden chair and look down at you as you pleade your case. It makes him feel important, like suddenly, he is the one to decide whether your allowed to continue being his friend and living amongs "his" Village, or hauled off to the gallows for beheading. He's fairly patient and he's more than willing to accept apologies and allow you to try again. But don't push him to far. You may be the straw that broke the camels back and the lion is no good at controling his true temper. As with most cats, his soft, furry paws hide wicked claws and there are many pointed fangs simply waiting to be beared at the first subject who tempts the great Lion King to force his hand. Generally, his temper is so forcful and violent, one smack of his mighty paw sends most realing and turning tail. And then, poof, the anger disapaites and he looks on with pride at his well earned victory...then he turns around, marches up the red carpet to his throne and stretches out contently for a nice cat nap.
As he is but a Genin, it's hard to watch almost as he sits with his friends and peers, often failing and knowing nothing of the ninja world, sitting there covered in filth from training and rough housing(he's quite playfull, being but a tiny cub at the moment) and still managing to keep his dignity in tact. Even when the occational lazy attitude grips his mind and he lays about, only having enough energy to lift a finger to beckon for someone to wait on him, his dignity remains without any blemishes what-so-ever. How strange that the young lion has yet to even earn any real honor and yet he can manage to draw you into thinking he actually is worth bowing down to. And such arrogance is bound to grow on what he's already got, if thats even possible. Remember, he's born to be on stage and if ever you see him sitting by himself, your looking at a very unhappy King. You might even see a few storm clouds gather from no where to follow him around. But lonliness is hardly a problem for him. He's much to social for that. But don't be surprised to catch him laying sprawled out on the grass by himself looking quite content as he basks in the sun created to warm him alone. Such events are rare, but the do happen. However, on a board scale, he is boastful, loud and always talking up a storm. Ask him a question and he may spit out a poetic theme similar to a modern day shakspear in a matter of seconds. But keep one thing in mind, he's dramatic. If he's irritated, you, everyone around you, the villagers passing by, the entire of Konoha, and perhaps a neiboring Village or two will know about it. But in such cases, the king is mearly pacing back and forth running his mouth because he enjoys the attention. Those claws and fangs may threaten to show for a moment, and then he will back down and mutter and grumble to himself about how unfair everything is. His roaring complains will be heard miles away and you WILL pay attention. But have no fear, many of his rantings are all bark, no bite.
His ever expanding ego usually doesn't harm his chances with friends, nor does it usually bring him to rub his kingly butt in their faces. But there is a glitch; he's cocky. Arrogance is not something he hides well. When he accomplishes something, everyone usually knows about it. Luckily, his self proclaimed supiriority isn't usually expressed verbaly and sometimes its not even that obvious if someone has earned his respect. But he isn't oblivious to the fact that he's born to lead and you can't ever think that he would be. Many times, he takes to lead position by forcful determination and it's not surprise he's already trying to boss around his elders. Of course you had better not be the one to call him out on his cocky tone, you might send him into a raging verbal assult of insults and past flaws his opponent might have had. His egotistical mind often brings up rather rediculous plans to ensure his rightful place remains untouched. More often than not, the plan includes showing off in some brilliant display that is hard to miss for the general public. He's overly competitive by nature. And you don't even have to challange him, he'll simply twist it and bend the meaning so that it seems as though youve attacked his entire kingdom. And once you've earned your place within his cometition, you can assured he isn't simply going to out do you; he's going to murder you(figuritivly speaking of course). Beat him in a race? Well he's going to train for days and days and then challange you again using his overactive imagination to make the race public, draw everyone in the Leaf Village in to watch the race and finally, he's going to end up at that finish line before you do. When he wins, he doesn't just win, he humiliates his opponent and cuts them off at the knees. Funny thing about it is, when all is said and done, he can appeare quite the gentleman when handing you your hat. He will strut about for weeks after his victory! And at the same time he will grin oh so kindly as he stares down at you. And if your his friend, he will lock eyes with you and somehow impress you with his big heart and smile so that youll come to forgive him and you may find yourself forgetting the entire situation...until he points it out years later....
Raidon, if there is but one thing you will remeber him for, is his fleeting nature that often keeps the commoners at bay. He's a headstrong young chap and can't allow himself to stay and chat with you unless you catch his full attention long enough to slow him to a stop. But when he wants your attention, well that's a totally different bag of nuts. He might invite you out for a few hours of fun and paying him head, then show up miserably late. ANd the next day, when called out on, he will somehow talk his way out and earn your absolute trust all over again. Funny thing is, you'll be out the next day to meet him again. But even so, those one or two minutes he is with you might just be the best side of him you ever see. Not to say he's a bad person, but he hasn't earned his place at the top of the social totum pole for nothing. Think about it. Do you honestly think a King needs to work for grades? Or do chores, or any other meaningless task ment for commoners alone? Hell no! He holds a wonderous talent for dazzling people with an unusually gracful smile. He can be ever so charming - and ever so manipulative - at the same time. At social gatherings he can impress everyone, especially when put in his more natural habititat on stage. How poetic he can sound as he reads off some emotional thing he probably didn't even create himself. How polite and modest that King is as he speaks to his fellows. Just be sure you don't get too wrapped up in it all. Raidon is relentless when it comes to bribes and brown nosing. A week later, after coming across the little lion king cub, you may be wondering why your suddenly lacking your house, your car, your food, and you wallet. Oh thats right, you donated all of that to Raidon so he could get that puppy he wanted...but then you probably remember that he already has a pet. And his sneeky cleverness can outsmart just about anyone, where he himself has only been delibratly outsmarted once in his life time. Though there were many times where he simply became destracted, lazy, or just felt the cause was lost and disregarded it in favor of something bigger, better, shinyer, brighter, more eye catching to him. Only the best for a King, after all.
As I've pointed out, his temper is a hard one to catch and its easy to keep him happy. Not only that, but it's easy to catch his eye, simply compliment him and give him hard slaps on the back. Light pats of praise won't do, he must truley feel as though he's accomplished something. Call to him that he looks exceptionaly well today, or that he seems healthier than he was yesterday and he will strut on over and Boom, he's your friend and you can be proud to have been adopted into his kindgom. He'll watch over you like any ruler would, and protect you until his last breath. But how does one avoid provocing the great, overdramatic kitty? Don't contradict or scold him in public, he wont stand for defiance to his name and it hurts his self esteem. Sure, it's ok to knock him back down to his true place. You won't get anywhere with him if he doesn't understand one rule; "If you wish for me to respect you, dear Lion, you must respect me as well". However, large blows to his ego could hurt him later, be carefull how you plan to disaplin the mighty Raidon. If your really looking to anger him, it's easy to set him off; simply challange his pride. March up to that lazy, slothfull, egotistical lion's throne and attack his vanity. Take something away from his he belives is his. Go ahead, point out his faults and try to pull him down from that high throne of his! Take the big cat on! A snarl and a great leap later and suddenly...as he stares down at you, claws and fangs bared, a resentful look in his beady kitty eyes...perhaps a good lion tamer would be usefull right about now...a nice muzzle...maybe a big steak to bride his highness into sparing your life...NO! You challanged Raidon, now you get to get personal with his massive fangs as he roars in your face and takes after you, on the hunt again. But if ever you find yourself in his angry wake, you can be assured that while his temper is violent, its surprisingly easy to calm him down. To subdue him, simply flatter him some more. Chances are he will go from a boasting, angry beast to a grining, bashful, docile little kitten. He's a physical person(as he ages, you may take that as you will) and a good bit of kindness, perhaps a hug or pat on the head will cheer him up and take that rampant temper of his. Remember, both a loving touch and a good Bull whip must both be used when training the King to do what you want him to.
He can be shockingly playful a lot of the time. If you don't know him, it can be odd to see at first, the mightly Raidon stepping down to roughhouse. Keep in mind that there is no such thing as an introverted Raidon; there is only Raidon pretending to be an introvert to draw attention to himself. You can't ignore him for long, try as you might. He'll take the center stage by any means necissary, talking loudly, telling jokes, compliments(he's not to good at that though. You can't expect him to feed anyones vanity but his own), hell; he will steal the show by sulking and pouting behind everyone until someone rushes over to see what's wrong. At times, he can be down right annoying as he interupts you in public over and over again. It's not as though he's trying to be rude, he simply has a tendancy to succumb to feeling utmost supirior to you. And yet, he's quite hypocritical in this end of his personality. Go ahead, try it sometime. Interupt one of his dramatic, poetic speaches, and he may become blind and judgmental with rage. But you can draw humor from this as the same situation can go a completly opposite way if one does it correctly. Inturupt respectivly and tell him he looks marvoulous in that new jacket. He'll pause to look and consider you a moment - as though wondering whether to be angry or greatful - before seeming quite distracted as he stares at you blushing and bashful. "Oh...r-really now, well thank you." He will laugh nervously and suddenly seem a bit to frightened to be in front of everyone to be the real king you knew before. But he himself gives his opinions openly and generously. He might stop you in a group once and a while to point how just how great at training you were that day. "Well thanks!" You say, ready to move on, go home and shower as you bid farewell to your surrounding friends, including Raidon himself. But no, you don't get such luxeries as the lion goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on. And then you may begin to think, as he changes subjects and keeps talking, that you could somehow slip away stealthily if you were as good as young Raidon claims you to be.
As with any good ruler, when a true crisis, either with his own life or when helping with one of his subje - I mean friends, is placed on his shoulders, he will carry it with a quiet ease and never shirk his duty as King. He's a feircly loyal friend, but just as powerful an enemy. Creative and original, strong and flamboyant as a snoozing cat or proud lion, you can rest assured that when you find yourself in dire need of someone, you can turn around a somehow or another, Raidon will make time to be there for you to lean on. Because while he's independant and doesn't like to lean on others, he likes to be leaned on. Often you will hear him yell and complain about how everyone depends on him and he has to be responsible for everyone and everything, but don't pay his dramatic theatrics any heade; he loves it. Try and steal away his duties to help him and he will snap at you in feirce defiance.
He's smart, though not so much in a tactical way. Instead, he puts his brain to more entertaining uses. He's a master at stealthy manuvering and tends to see beyond what many his age would normally. But even so, his cleverness is often muted if he is distracted, something that, unfortunetly, happens far to often for his own good. At the core of his intelegance, he gains the upper hand in the manipulation of others and bringing about dramatic, almost rediculous plans to obtain small goals he sees as larger things. Scary thing is, they actually seem possible. But generally, his general narcasism gets the better of him and he feels the need to get his entire kingdom after his personal agenda. And while his intetnions may have a clever end, he's not always the best at creating beleivable ideas to follow. But his playful arrogance often coaxes others to follow his chananagens as he leads them into the imaginary forest of death. Luckily, determined optimism keeps him light on his toes even when he fails to reach his goals.
Raidon, even if he won't admit it or even realize it for that matter, can be overly naive many times. He's only eight, after all, and his carrier as a ninja has hardly even begun. In his mind, everything still revolves around passing the acadamy and keeping himself and his social life in tact as well. He still seems to forget that things like death exsist and, for now, it's as though he hardly even recognizes his own inability to actually grasp such ideas. But you can't blame him. He's never experienced such things before. His father sheilds him from the fact that his own friends have died on shinobi missions, and his mother only encourages him to keep his spirits high, instead of showing him that being a ninja is more than just a fun thing to do with his life. He's not here to protect Konoha, he's not here to keep his families pride, or convince anyone that things should be rightous. His mind still processes things like a child, naturally. In his eyes, the world is still quiet pure and innocent. Justice holds only two sides, right and wrong; good and evil. There is not grey, just black and white. Those evil Sound nin never get to win against the good guys. No one ever winds up in a grave. Now that's not to say he's iggnorant to death, he simply doesn't seem to see that he himself could die. Slightly gulible and ever so blessed with that childish bliss called ignorance, he is indeed, still quite the cub.
And finally, Raidon is a loving creature. He's as at home with his friends who are along side him for the ride to becomeing a ninja as he is with his friends who are the odd sword swallowers and book worms. Just as his best friend. No, they aren't a beutiful young girl or another fearless knight he's out playing with. Rather, the one closest to the majestic lion, is but a humble, runty, slightly stupid young boar. Buta-san has, and always will be, his closest advisor and friend. The foot tall piglet sits right beside Raidon on that throne, given the leisure of being considered roylaty as well. Its not often you see one without the other and most of the time, the brown, golden streaked boar trots along contently at Raidon's side. And the runty animal is feircly protected, watched over like a hawk under the wary gaze of the Lion King. But it appearers as but a gentle protectiveness to those who don't know of his highnesses wild temper and rage. Just be sure to remember, his claws are sheathed, but sharp. And it's not just the pig that can receive the love of the King. He loves all things living, even adopting a vegetarian diet. People, he loves for their attention and applause, but even so, he holds a sturdy, needy attachment to his social status. Raidon without a crowd is like...well like a bird without wings(we will excuse the penguins and other flightless birds, of course).
Raidon, at the core of his personality, is a narcissistic, boasting, dramatic, egotistical, vain, ruler of the world around him, in his eyes anyway. And yet...at the same time, he's a loyal, goofy, playful, determined, happy-go-lucky, child. Once you accept that and learn to give him the attention he desires, peace will return to the world.
Jutsu Techniques: Aside from basic acadamy level jutsu, he doesn't have any unique jutsu(I'll probably come back and edit this when he learns some though.)
Genjutsu: None as of yet.
Ninjutsu: None as of yet.
Taijutsu: None as of yet.
Doujutsu: N/A
Hijutsu: N/A
Kinjutsu: N/A
Weapons: Around ten to twelve Kunai and shuriken and three explosive tags. A fairly standard set for any Genin.
Main fighting style: His fighting style hasn't yet been well developed, adn is changing quite a bit as he trains more. However, he seems quite happy to use close range, hand to hand, brutality. His vanity causes him to be a bit to arrogant, even with his cleverness, and often times he thinks and reacts to quickly to think things through all the way, something that will probably end up vanishing the more experienced he becomes.
Given his fiery nature, it's not surprising that his chakra element itself is also fire. Though somewhere in his blood there is a bit of underlying Wind nature in him as well, proving he could excel a bit in that area as well.
Fighting strength:[/u] His slightly stocky nature showcases that he will probably end up being good at hand to hand combat. Again, he's a new Genin and is constantly learning new things. However, he has shown that he has amazing chakra control.
Fighting weakness: He hasn't trained enough to realize any. However, he's cocky and it could mean trouble if he decides to put pride before sense, which he often does.
Team members:
Naruto Uzumaki: Raidon's new Jounin Leader. Ehm...you all should know him.
I'll add more as they come.
Friends/family: Fugaku Hichiban - Raidons father and owner of a local vegetarian/diet resturaunt, which seems to be doing fairly well. He's an animal rights activists who often holds very loud and extravigant protests against just about any place using animal products. He also is known for his distaste in using animals as combat tools in ninja missions and is constantly acting against that, much to the dismay of the Village shinobi. Unfortunetly, Fugaku hardly controls himself when it comes to voicing his opinions and often times hatches rather hairbrained schemes - which generally get the reluctant Raidon involves as well - to get back at anyone he dubs an animal abuser. He's gone so far as to commit criminal acts including, but not limited to, vandalising local shops, letting a large stampede of imported cattle loose into Konoha's streets, tearing down a slaughter house, stealing exploding tags and blowing up a major store that happened to be having a sale on all of its' meat, harboring stolen animals in his house, throwing stones at the windows of people eating meat products at the time, leaving a large bull inside the Kazekages fortress, and disturbing the peace hundreds of times by vocaly threatening meat vendors. Strangly, he has not once been sent to prison. Dispite his insane anticts, he can also prove to be the responsible parent as well, when the time calls for and when his wife has pestered him to set a good example for Raidon.
Yuroi Hichiban - Raidons mother and one of the cooks at Fugakus resturaunt. Like her husband, she is for animal rights, though she is hardly as active as he is about the issue. Though she considers herself an activist because of her signing of many, many petitions, she could easily be called a passive person. Laid back and generally fairly tolerant of both her husbands and her sons odd behavior, she
Other companions: Buta - Commonly known as Buta-san. He's Raidons loyal companion, a young boar standing barely a foot or so high. He's one of the only pigs in all of Konoha with the ability to speak. Albiet he's not blessed with as much brilliance as many ninja animals as he was origionaly bred to be a nice roast(much to Raidons dismay), he manages to get his point across, even with his limited vocabulary. Most of the time, he will speak softly, but surely and politly, much of Raidons headstrong influence bringing a more outgoing nature into the young boar. Though quiet, the boar isn't at all shy. He simply prefers to speak up only when necisary or when spoken to first. He gets along well with Raidon and its hard to find one without the other, earning the odd reputation amongst his peers. Most of the time, the pig trotts alongside Raidon, just happy to be alive, though its not uncommon to see him snugged away in a backpack or the hood of his jacket. His personality is almost overly simplistic. Food, shelter and Raidon are about the only things in life he really seeks out. But theres a gentle protectivness over Raidon and at times, the tiny pig resembles a gaurd dog the way he watches over his boy. In one instance, he proves that he posseses a horrible bloodlust when Raidon was bullied and beat up. However, it has only happened once and its easy to think that the adorible little boar wouldn't hurt a fly.
Character history:Raidon grew up a very normal life actually. Born in the begining of August, in Konohagakure, the boy was brought into the world as his parents first and only child. But there is nothing dramatic to say about his childhood, no death in his family, no evil siblings, no family feud, no wars, his parents weren't in a huge clan, nothing. Hell, he couldn't even tell you that his parents were ninja. Actually, his father works at the familys resturaunt serving vegitarian and health food. Both of his parents were vegitarians, in fact, which spured Raidon into the lifestyle as well. Because his entire family had always been into the whole animal rights issue thing, which explains why at only age five, Raidon declared himself to be the first Animal Rights Activist in Suna, a title he still proundly wears to this day. While his family was in borderline poverty, Raidon had little or nothing to complain about. His morals were good and, being opinionated, he stuck to them. In his world, given the way he was raised and how he came to view his world, there was nothing but good and evil. Something that would come to hurt him in his later childhood.
Aside from his familys...odd choice of lifestyle(don't tell him it's odd, he's lible to smack you in the head for it), Raidon grew up a very normal person. Just your dime a dozen compared to a lot of his peers, who came from famous clans or had great ninja for parents. To a lot of them, he was just the poor skinny kid from the wierd family. But if you think normalcy was a problem in becoming popular for the boy, think again. Raidon, from the first time he was sociolized with other children, seemed to adapt naturally to the leaders position. He was always the boy would would walk just a few hundred heads above everyone else and in his world, he was on top of things. Perhaps that's why he also got into a lot of trouble. But that would come later.
For most of his childhood, Raidon simply wanted to be in the lead for the sake of title. But it only took one passing glance at his future that would give him the reason for becoming a ninja. Another ordinary day for young Raidon until he caught sight of a familiar store being robbed. Of course back in his six year old days, Raidon had been self absorbed and egocoentric, so he thought little of it, simply graetfull he wasn't the one getting hurt. But, perhaps out of pure childish curiosity, he stayed to watch. And it was then, he caught his first glimps of what would become his own goal and motivation in life. TO get a better view, Raidon had clambered up onto an older building overlooking the shop. Inside, the burgler had been taken the customers prisoner. Again, Raidon was viewing this as a child would a movie, not as though he himself could have prevented it. However, the aging floor he was standing on to watch from(which had also once served as the stores attic before the floor had rotted out) suddenly crumbled underneath him and he fell into the very scene he had been watching. But being six years old, he could do little more than panic as the burgler looned over him and laughed. Unfortunately for Raidon, one of the customers decided to try and use the distraction to escape the store. In retaliation, the man reminded to customers that he had threatened to kill someone should anyone try and escape to look for authorities. Taking a kunai in his hand and holding it over Raidons gut, it seemed the young boys life would come to an abrupt end. But such and event would leave his roleplayer without a character to roleplay, SO... The burgler would have killed Raidon had it not been for an elderly man who had just entered the store deflecting it with another kunai. Surprised, the burgler allowed himself to be distracted and Raidon was able to crawl away and hide under a table. The authorities soon showed up and the man was caught. Raidon was in utter awe that someone had stepped forward to help him, while he had wanted to do nothimg more than watch. He approached the old man and thanked him, questioning him as to why he had been so bold when he could have been killed. The old man revieled himself to be a former captian in Sunas police force. Giving Raidon a speach on how justice worked and a stern warning to not let bad things happen to other people(and to stay out of trouble next time), the man left Raidon with the strong sense of justice he has to today and his goal to get to the top of Sunas police force.
Of course, not many people know of that story. An old man saving you while you nearly peed yourself...well, it wasn't something Raidon thought would be a good publicity act. But the act left Raidon a new person. Yes, he was still the rambuctious, arrogant, popular, little lion cub he was before, but now he had a goal! And to get to that goal, he decided then and there he would join the ninja acadamy and work his way into the police force as an Elite Jounin! Not only that, but he now had a sense of justice. And that caused a new wave of popularity and a new range of enemies and bullies he would have to deal with. But as said before, he knew not about the greys of reason. Bullies were bullies, he didn't need a reason why they picked on people. All he needed to know was that they were tormenting someone smaller than themselves. So for every person he protected and stood up for, he seemed to gain both a friend and an enemy. But that was fine by him. He had his pride and no fight was to much for him to try and handle. But he was only a seven year old, wanna-be ninja. Naturally, he would eventually come across someone bigger, better, and stronger than he was. And it happened one day in mid-September. A...well, rather heafty Genin named Kotamaru Kajiima ran across Raidons path after picking on one of Raidons closer friends Inu-chan(her real name was Choiru Inuzuka, but many kids found her love of dogs amusing and nicknamed her Inu-chan) and the fact that Raidon had a childish crush on her made it all the worse. He had been nearly trembling with rage when he finaly found Kotamaru at the Acadamy. But of course, when Raidon challenged him in front of everyone, the older boy found it quite funny to see a poor, lowerclass, farm boy calling him out. But the challenge did not go unanswered and the two duked it out after the Acadamy had let out. Frankly put, Raidon had his ass handed to him. But the scrapes and bruises paled in comparison to his hurt pride. Even if he won Inu-chan over with his braverly, he pushed her away when she tried to clean the cut on his cheek and took off for home. It's still rare to see him speak about this loss.
A year later and Raidon had brought about enough publicity for himself to make very sure everyone had forgotten about his misjudgment in picking his fights. At the time, his fathers resturaunt had not been doing to well, so the boy was doing his best to keep with his families financial status while maintaining his own social image, even if he was but seven and a half. But while he had begun to resent his lifestyle, the hate for it would quickly fade when it gave way to a new sort of justice Raidon had not yet been aware of.
It happened one day while he was delivering goods for his father. Raidon had passed by the Meat shop every time he'd done this, so it was no big deal for him. Or at least it wouldn't have been had he not spotted a man hussleing wild boar(imported, of course) into the back entrance. Now, Raidon had never fully understood why his parents had decided to become vegetarians aside from their flisy explination of "eating meat supports people who murder animals, Rai-chan. You wouldn't kill a puppy and eat it, would you, now?", so he thought the pigs were pets for the man. But why would a person have a pet pig? Silly idea, yes. Well, Raidon had to find out why there were so many boars being put into the back of the shop. Discarding the box of goods in the front of the store, Raidon snuck around to the back, slipping into the room with the boar at the last minute. It was probably the biggest mistake Raidon had made in his short life. When finding the light, Raidon saw exactly what had happened to the boar. Sliced open and hanging upside down, dead, from the cieling, Raidon could only stare wide eyed at the gore before him. Paniced, Raidon took off forthe door on the other side of the room(forget about the one he just came through please). There he stumbled upon the boar who had not yet been slaughtered. In determined retaliation, Raidon did his best to explain to them to get out before they were killed. But he didn't seem to realize that...well, they're just pigs, you can't expect much from them. But whether they understood him or were just spoked by his screaming, the boar were riled up and when Raidon threw open the door to let them free, they barrled through the door. Of course the meat shop owner had heard this and after seeing Raidon set free an entire stock free, he was pissed. Pulling a large stick with the intention to beat the boy within an inch of his young life, the man took off after Raidon. Bolting, Raidon took refuge behind a large shelf. And it was there he met his current lifelong friend, Buta. The tiny runt of a boar was hogtied and set beside a large knife. Setting the piglet free, Raidon tried to explain the situation to him. "C'mon, Buta-san! You'll be killed otherwise!" Of course, the boar could understand nothing the flailing boy was saying to him. But it did attract the attention of the meat shop owner. Desperate to save the young boar, Raidon took him in his arms and took off for home. It didn't take much explaining to his animal loving parents before Buta-san became a part of the Hichiban family.
The two became as inseperable as any Inuzuka and their dog. The name "Buta" simply stuck with the piglet and he soon learned to come to his name. Incidentaly, Buta seemed at least a little smarter than the average roast as by the time Raidon turned eight years old, Buta could speak and had a limited vocabulary. Raidon spared no expense for his new friend. Shy as the young boar was, Raidon took on an almost paternal role when looking out for his new buddy. For a while, Raidon was the only person Buta would speak to, but after only a few weeks, the shyness was over come and he would speak to others. Raidon now had himself - and Buta-san - convinced, his piglet was as good as any ninja animal! They would become ninja together. But the two had a bigger thing coming for them. Raidon's patience had paid off and he was eight years old now. And in the middle of August, he enrolled at the acadamy. The two trained together nealy every waking moment, until they were bruised and beaten, and then, why not, they got up again. Determined to stay atop everyone else in his class, Raidon passed with superbe grades. His only problem; authority. Unnumbered times had his parents been called forth to have to explain their sons "disobedience". Their explination, "We'll take care of it.". His, "No one tells me what to do!"
The acadamy days were fairly uneventful for him. He did well, only wanting to be supirior to his classmates not because he wanted good grades really. He and Buta-san become inseperable, and still are to this day. Raidon made quite the fuss when he found out Buta-san wouldn't be able to go into class with him though, arguing about the Inuzuka dogs being allowed it. Eventually, the two even began classes together. Friends and social popularity came naturaly to Raidon, given his love for the attention and being in the spotlight. However, it eventually got him into trouble as well. At the time, Raidon had been fairly cowardly, avoiding fights and keeping to himself when even his friends were in danger. However, one instance of bullying taught him otherwise, developing the fearless nature he has today. It was one of the older Genin, having failed the Chuunin exams a few times over. Raidon had foolishly called him out on it when he'd insulted Buta-san for being a stupid hog, only good for eating. Raidon eventually had his ass handed to him. Buta-san, usually quiet and introverted, proved he could be just as good as any ninja animal to both the older male and to Raidon. SHowing off a wicked hidden temper, the boar nearly tore the boys leg apart(had it not been for his small size, he might have). However, the older boys friends had arrived by then, attacking the pig and eventually breaking Buta's leg. Raidon, having been observing until now, decided to
But the Acadamy days have been fairly uneventful for him. He's only recently been able to pass the acadamy, graduating with high scores, though disapointed he wasn't at the top of his class. His carefree, outgoing(though ambitious) attitude has made him a few friends and a few enemies, nothing that a few years as a ninja couldn't fix. He was placed on Uzumaki Naruto's team, though he has yet to actually meet his teacher. Regardless, he intends to make a good impression, for his own sake, no doubt.
