If anyone's interested in playing this guy, Souku's going to be training with him in a short while. If not, well here's his mini profile for reference. =)
Also, I did not write the appearance(though I did edit where necessary), my friend Leif did when he played him for a short while.
Name: Gin Takamichi.
Rank: Jounin and Current Head of the Takamichi Clan.
Gender: male
Age: Sixteen [12th May, Taurus|Year of the Ox]
Village: Iwagakure no Sato
Clan: Takamichi Clan.
Appearance: He usually wears a yellow/tanish short-sleeved zipper jacket that has a wide, high collar that almost comes to his chin, dirty and weather worn from his travels to train in the rocky slopes and mountainous parts of his village. A strap velcroed across the front of his chest, hiding that portion of the zipper, seems to be for decoration rather than a practical need. Under that he has a navy, long-sleeved hooded shirt thats a little lighter material wise than his first one. The hood of it sticks out that back of his collar and the longer sleeves cover his arms where the short sleeves don't, even covering his hands as its really to big for him. He sometimes will wear a very light black shirt under that, and sometimes neither of the jackets will be worn at all, but when hes traveling he seldom removes them. If hes on a mission, because of the harsher terrain, hell most of the time wear a sturdy wooden chest protector that encloses both his chest and his back. If he were to fall or a kunai thrown at him, he'd be protected. However, his sides are rather vulnerable.
His has darker tan shorts that fall a ways past his knees with Velcro side-pockets, along with the normal ones. Instead of the more common blue sandals, his are a dark brown or maroon colour, being from the Stone Village and all. Despite his attires heavy appearance, it isn't often he gets overheated and even if he does, his stubborn disposition commonly drives him to wear them anyway, claiming he isn't hot. Around his neck is a kunai, or at least thats what it looks like. Actually, hes hollowed it out, enabling him to pick up more of his surroundings through a sort of echolocation since hes blind.
His forehead protector is red and bears the Stone Village's symbol, though the silver plate is littered with dents and scratches, proving he rarely removes it from his head.
Personality:(open for development, of course) Because he is blind, he resents anyone who he believes considers him to be weak or defenseless. Slow to make decisions and moving only when he wants to or feels like it, he tends to have a very bull headed outlook. Stubborn, independent, and determined, his goal in life is to prove he's just as god as any ninja, even if he's blind.
Jutsu Techniques: Earth Style: Mobile Earth Technique: This is done by pushing chakra into the rock itself and causing the chakra to rotate in different directions, acting as the two poles of a magnet. As the two reject each other, the rock is lifted into the air. Of course, the bigger the rock, the more chakra it requires. He can also channel chakra into the molecules in the ground and cause them to move where he wants.
Earth Style: Ultimate Ground Defense: By forcing Chakra into the ground around him, he can force the molecules in the earth to shift upward, creating a large bull shaped boulder either in front of or around himself or anything else he wants.
Earth Style: Tunnel Escape Technique: Exactly what it sounds like. After using his chakra to create a large dust cloud, he tunnels under enemies to either escape completely, or to come up under them and attack from below.
Earth Style: Hardened Stone Technique: By collecting chakra at his palms or feet, he can channel stored chakra into the ground and exert enough pressure to harden the dirt into boulders. The boulders form the rough shape of a snake-like dragon. Since he doesn't have to remain stationary while doing so(if the chakra is being channeled through his feet) and it takes place underground, he can still fight while the process takes place.
Earth Style: Dragons Fang: Following the Hardened Stone Technique, Gin can force the dragon up through the ground and using echolocation, can locate with immense precision where the enemy is. The dragon bursts from the ground and literally engulfed the person, crushing them to death. Because this technique required him to use every bit of his chakra(he isn't even able to use it when he first develops it), he sufferers from extreme fatigue for up to three or four days afterward, if not a week. He also has extensive scars on his hands from his first test runs at doing it.
Weapons: Any earth, dirt or rock around him that he can channel chakra into(IE, he must, in some way, be able to make contact with it)
Main fighting style: His only fighting style, move the earth to adapt and change to the situation at hand. Usually by beating the shit out of his opponents.
Fighting strength: He is very sturdy in battle, being able to use chakra to hold his ground thanks to his excellent chakra control, especially when he's on any sort of rock material. He is very strong physically, not one to be knocked off his feet easily. He's immune to most genjutsu(because genjutsu can affect other senses, other than sight, he's not immune to all of them) He can move any earth around him so long as he can make contact with it. Because he uses chakra as a sort of echolocation to enhance vibrations he already feels and uses to see, he can sense people coming hundreds of miles away, if necessary.
Fighting weakness: He's blind, for one thing, which limits his abilities to an extent, even if he won't admit it. As seen in a few of his former battles, too many vibrations coming from more than one direction can render his ability to use them to 'see' with useless. Sound waves can be used against him as well if used properly. He also can't swim and there are surfaces, such as ice or sand, that he cannot 'see' on using vibrations.
Team members: None.
Friends/family: Raibion Takamichi - Father
Kirigashi Takamichi - Mother
Other companions: Matsuda and Shigaru - Two wolf brothers, ash coloured and brown, respectively. Because Gin is unable to keep up with most ninja normally, because of his blindness, he tends to ride on Matsuda's back.
Character history:
- Gin was born into the Takamichi Clan during a very dangerous rise in tension with the civil war within his clan. His father was head of the clan(making Gin the clan's heir at the time) and very wealthy. He was born blind, however, making his parents very protective of him. Though Gin proved to be very independent even from the start.
- He grew up in a sheltered life he didn't want. He eventually decided he wanted to become a ninja to retaliate against his parent's unwanted protection.
- He developed his current techniques.
- Eventually, Team 24 - Souku Inuzuka, Tao Ugashi, and Suki Yashino - come and foil his training attempts when his father reports him as missing. (see Souku's history for more details)
- Souku later helps him escape from his parents home and he leaves the Stone Village altogether.
There isn't any set history for him between then and the next part of his history, so it's open for anything)
- Souku finds him again and requests his assistance and the two train from three days and two nights.
- They travel around together for two years and eventually Gin returns to his clan when his father is killed in a civil war battle.
- He takes his place as the clan's leader and since Orochimaru's return, he fights for the rebels who are against Orochimaru's hold on the Takamichi Clan(since the stone village is allied with him already, half of the clan rebels against him, the other half sides with him)
