Please Note This character is purposely overpowered due to reasons pertaining to the plot. Once her role in the current plot is completed this will change. Name: Kyoko, Chiyo
Alias: The Spirit Keeper
Rank: Anbu
Gender: Female
Age: 7
Village: Otogakure
Clan: N/A (Shikimono)
Appearance: Standing at a rather diminutive height of (Compared to most ninja of her rank, anyway!) 3'7" (Around 109cm) and 50lbs (23kg) suggesting a well cared for child. Despite her young age it is obvious that she has had some amount of physical training as there is already the signs of sleek muscles being built up in her body. Still, like most child her features are softer, and more rounded giving her a rather adorable appearance. Her hair which she often keeps piled up in some form or another is a faded ghostly white in color, accenting this her large eyes are a strange silver hue; the pupils seeming more gray than black. Her skin tone is almost ghostly in its palor, the translucency of it giving stark relief to her veins which show vivid and blue where they near the surface.

Character history: There was once a young lord in Oto no Kuni who was made prosperous by the people who worked the rice fields on the lands he owned. He was a greedy man, and always wanted more, and more, and more. This man’s name was Kane, Reizo and his people didn’t like him, but they couldn’t say anything because he had money, and he supplied Orochimaru-sama with money so that he could keep his small power. Reizo-sama had a wife, and several children, as well. His wife was sweet and demure, his sons strong and brave (according to their boastful father), and his daughters were very beautiful (again, according to their father).
One day Reizo-sama was out touring the fields of his lands, and in a small village he came across a very beautiful woman. This woman was just the daughter of a poor farmer, but Reizo adored her beauty, which was greater than his wife’s, and so he spoke to this young woman, and learned her name to by Kyoko Hisa. Now Hisa wanted nothing but to get out of the grueling every day life of the fields, and though she knew that Reizo-sama was a mean, greedy, man she did not turn away his advances as they grew, and eventually Hisa was spirited away in the night to a distant estate where Reizo could visit her without his wife’s (or anyone else’s) knowledge. Hisa lived in luxury, but she was no where near as demure and easy to control as Reizo’s wife, in fact Hisa was a lot like Reizo-sama himself: She was selfish, and just wanted more, and more, and more. She threatened to reveal his dirty secret to his wife if he did not give her everything she asked for.
Eventually Reizo-sama became annoyed with her threats, and sent to Otogakure saying that he feared a threat and needed an Anbu for a guard, he would pay well, of course. Because Reizo had always given them good money, an Oto Anbu was sent out to his lands, and Reizo set the Anbu to guard Hisa day and night, and keep her from revealing the Secret.
However, as things go Hisa ended up with child, and immediately she proclaimed to Reizo that the child was his! Reizo was enraged, but could not find a lie in this, and eventually Hisa had a daughter who she named Chiyo. Reizo-sama did not want the world to know that he had this illegitimate child, and so he refused to let the child have his name, and the girl was forced to take her mother’s. Reizo-sama also forbid Hisa to let the girl outside when there was a possibility of being seen, or to be seen at all by anyone but Hisa, and Taji-sama, the Anbu.
So as Chiyo grew she rarely ever went outside, and when Hisa had visitor’s she was locked in her room, and had to be very, very silent. No one could know that she existed.
Shikimono Akira, the man behind the mask and the so-called Taji-sama became Chiyo’s only companion when he was not doing his duty. As a result of her enforced solitude Chiyo loved to learn, and eventually turned to Taji-sama to learn more, Taji-sama became Taji-sensei and he taught her all about shinobi, and chakra. Chiyo decided she wanted to be a ninja.
Of course, neither of her parents had ever been ninja, or been related to ninja so Hisa laughed her daughter’s sudden dream off as silly, and futile. Taji-sama, however, said nothing and he didn’t seem surprised when the little girl, only 3 then, picked things up with surprising aptitude though her mother never really noticed. It was as he was showing her his equipment, that she showed another facet of her skill, when he showed her a special scroll in which he kept a spirit entrapped (A skill that was passed down through his family) Chiyo could feel the spirit, and asked him what was inside it immediately, before he could even explain. From that point Taji-sama taught Chiyo the ways of his clan, as well as the ways of the shinobi, and he gave the girl her first Spirit, and guided her through her first sealing; thus she acquired Tora.
The only time Hisa took notice of her daughter was when Reizo came around, and it was only to threaten him with revealing the little girl to the masses, and showing them what a dirty man he was. After one such argument Reizo went to the Anbu, and he told the Anbu to kill Hisa, he was tired of the woman. When asked about Chiyo, Reizo-sama said to dispose of the girl to.
That night while Hisa and Chiyo sat at the table eating dinner, Taji-sama moved up behind the woman he had been guarding for so long and he killed her with one swift blow of his kunai. However, when he turned to Chiyo he could did kill the girl, so instead he took her by the hand, and led her out into the snowy winters night, there he summoned a messenger bird to send word to Reizo-sama that the deed was done, and he would be returning to Otogakure. The Anbu then set the estate on fire.
Taji-sama took Chiyo back to Otogakure there, and continued to foster her abilities in private. When she was 5 he introduced her to Orochimaru-sama, who was immediately intrigued by this genius child. As a test Orochimaru had Taji-sama take Chiyo to the academy and take the Genin test.
She passed with ease.
Orochimaru held many similar private tests for her over the next year or so, and she passed each one of his tests eventually he simply accepted her into his Anbu forces, and began letting her go out on missions with Taji-sama. It was on these missions that Chiyo gained Retsu, from a Kirigakure nin, Mamoru from an Iwagakure nin, and Raiden from a Kumogakure nin.
One day, Orochimaru sent the two on a mission, during the mission Taji-sama was badly injured, and would not live. It was that night as he lay dying that Taji-sama revealed who he was to Chiyo, that he was Shikimono Akira, son of the mysterious and elusive Shikimono clan.
He was her father.
No one knows what happened to Akira’s body, but when Chiyo returned to Otogakure she had a new doll, Fudo. The rumors say that she managed to seal a human spirit, Akira’s.
No one else knows that little Kyoko Chiyo is the daughter of the former heir of the Shikimono’s, no one really knows where the Shikimono are.
And Chiyo? She isn’t telling, and anyone else who could know is well and truly gone. After all, Reizo-sama’s home mysteriously burned down a few months ago, and they say a mysterious warrior of flames was the cause.
Not to long ago Orochimaru-sama introduced Chiyo to a young man named Haru, and later told Chiyo that she was to watch Haru and make she he did as he was told, and explained to Chiyo what was expected of Haru. So, Chiyo now spends most of her time ‘baby sitting’ Haru, though the boy has yet to get it through his head that Chiyo is an gifted ninja, and not some little girl.
