Clan traits:
The Sumiyaka are known for their ability to survive in the desert, they are experts at desert lore as it has been passed down to them through the generations. As this clan was originally founded by a group of Nomads and bandits that wandered the Deserts of Wind Country. The nomad groups came together during a particularly harsh year, and under the guidance of a single woman who has been hence known simply as Sumiyaka-hime.

As the years progressed the nomadic group marLeikod, and intermarried becoming something of a family, and were always lead by the female descendant of Sumiyaka-hime. Slowly the blood of group began to take on powers from the mingling, latent chakra in the family, and it formed the Sumiyaka bloodline.

As the bloodline became stronger and stronger they eventually integrated into the Village Hidden in the Sand, and became one of the shinobi clans settled there. In the nearer years things in the Clan have taken something of a drop as the old Matriarchal society was forcefully shoved aside. The descendants of Sumiyaka-hime who should have been leading the clan effectively became Shadow Queens. They still lead the clan, but to the outside world their Figurehead husbands appeared to be the leader. The clan is rather close knit, and keeps to its own for the most part. The inner workings guarded viciously.

Generally the female Sumiyaka make better shinobi than the male due to smaller body size, and weight which contributes to their natural speed. However, of all the Sumiyaka their ‘princess;’ The Sumiyaka-hime is usually the strongest. She is usually the first born daughter of the direct line from the first Sumiyaka-hime, and once she has her own daughter the moniker is passed on once the daughter comes of age (Around 16 or so). Traditionally even if the first born was a son he would still be unable to inherit, as the title always goes to the oldest female.

Clan abilities:
The Sumiyaka specialize in a sort of lower power, high speed Taijutsu style called the Lucky Fist Style, titled as such because it is by sheer luck that they are able to land a blow. If their memory falters, or they are unable to properly guess the movements of their opponent, they will miss.

The style relies heavily on memory, intuition, and sheer luck. Other than those few things, the clan has no other remarkable skills.

As in many clans the Sumiyaka's have items to enhance their natural abilities. When they are low on Chakra, they can increase the speed of their remaining chakra (and thus their own speed) by utilizing a number of items. Caffeine, and Sugar are both useful, though its only at its most useful when undiluted, that is, when not other things such as foods or drinks (though they are still semi effective then.) The most widely used supplement among the Sumiyaka Clan is Adrenaline Shots. Each clans member tends to carry four of the shots in their satchel in case of emergency. The more adrenaline in their system, the faster their chakra moves, the faster they can move.

Using the shots of pure adrenaline can be exceptionally dangerous for them. If they haven't trained up to such an excessive speed it can decay their muscles, and joints severely.

Clan Weaknesses:
The Sumiyaka Kekkei Genkei is extremely susceptible to Eye Based Jutsu, anything that can enhance the human eye above the normal levels. Though, they do move fast enough to be unseen by the naked eye, it is only just barely. Increasing the ability of the eyes perception will allow a person to catch the Sumiyaka in their movement.

To a person without the ability of such enhancements one can use the fact of their blindness while moving to an advantage. Constant motion can sometimes thwart the untrained Sumiyaka. A trained Sumiyaka is often able to guess their opponents movements, so sporadic actions are often best against them.

Due to the chances of bodily harm brought on by the speed at which they move most Sumiyaka's will not use their speed unless training, or fighting. Even then the speed is used in multiple short bursts. In example, they will move, attack, stop, and repeat the process to keep the stress from building up on their bodies.

Of course, due to the cycle style of their bodies chakra most Sumiyaka's have a great deal of Stamina, and their mental capacity is exceptional. They often take place as messengers, or strategists though they can also be simple front liners.

Clan enemies:
None, though their is a feeling of both hate and honor toward being part of Sunagakure. They enjoy their status while at the same time, hate the fact that they are under the Kazekage's command. They would much rather simply follow the rule of their 'Princesses.' They are, by nature, a people proud of their heritage and ability to survive, as well as natural wanderers.

Clan Jutsu:
They have no specialized clan Ninjutsu, and focus mostly on basic Ninjutsu and their Taijutsu style.
