Clan Name: Ugashi
Clan Markings: None
Clan traits:
Generally, the Ugashi tend to vary quite a bit, as their bloodline is more than a bit scattered. Not that the clan members themselves are scattered, but they are hardly as close knit as the Inuzuka or the Hyuuga, where everyone within the Clan has a solid general appearance. Most of them hardly ever marry within their own clan and therefore, the traits of the clan can be strong in one child and hardly noticeable in another. However, there are quite a few things they are well known for appearance wise. Generally they have a lanky build, being relatively tall, even at a younger age. Most reach around 5 ft 7 by age 13 or even earlier sometimes. The most notable thing is their brighter eyes, which are usually brilliant and expressive, ranging between lighter shades of blue and green, occasionally hazel. There aren't to many blond Ugashi, but it isn't impossible to catch one or two each generation. When they do turn out blond it's generally a very extreme colour; dark, dirty blond, almost brown, or a light colour that could almost be white. Clothing wise, there is the consistent light, metal, shoulder pads, coloured a navy blue, that bear the clans insignia. The mark appearers to be the rather traditional round swirl many Leaf ninja have on various articles of clothing with a blue Zodiac sign of the Pisces fish.
Their personalities can be as common and as different as their appearance. But one thing they all have in common is an over bearing sense of pride and self assurance, in both their clan and themselves. You will get the occasional shy Ugashi, but you will never see one unsure of where he or she stands in their views and ideals. Stubbornness and a refusal to veer from these prerogatives can be a hassle if you ever meet one. Because of this, their once flexible blood line is becoming stiffer; the main reason for the Clans small size.
The Ugashi hold stubbornly to the traditional ways when it comes to the upbringing and lifestyle of the members, causing quite a bit of havoc between the more modern Village they are in and themselves. However, they are able to produce fairly good ninjas and hold themselves in high regard for doing such. It's rare to ever see a female emerge from the Ugashi Clan as a Kunoichi. Most stay at home doing chores, as the old ways say they should. Though the laws of the clan seem to forbid them from being actual ninja, many are healers, even if it's the only skill they may ever learn. Parents hold the utmost control over their children, from what they do with their life in terms of possibly being a ninja, to whom they marry. Males also have most of the social, political and domestic power in the clan. While all of this may not be the best way to live, you won't get it past them that it's wrong given their strong sense of pride.
Though, many don't ever become shinobi, most all Ugashi are artists, and at sometime or another, the artistic mind will call to them. Thus, many opt to simply do what comes naturally and stick with being artists. Those who do become shinobi can be spotted easily with their artistic fighting styles(Example: Tao Ugashi's Paper Manipulation and Kaji Ugashi's Ice Sculpture Manipulation)
Clan Village: Konohagakure
Clan abilities: Quite witted and, more often than not, having enough pride for the entire Village and then some, the Clan is renowned for their affinity with Water Jutsus, much like the Uchiha Clan had once been with fire. Most of the children are taught the basic water based skills before they even enter into the academy(like Water Walking and what not). As they get older, they are taught, in private, more advanced jutsus a bit more unique to the Ugashi Bloodline, even though the clan lacks an actual Bloodlimit Jutsus. Most, if not all, Ugashi's Chakra Nature is Water. If its not Water, perhaps wind. Naturally, it's very rare you find an Ugashi with a Fire Chakra Nature and those who have an affinity for Fire are usually shunned and teased(as fire is weaker than water).
If there's one thing almost every Ugashi has, it's incredible amounts of chakra as well as the almost natural ability to control it. And the ability is only nurtured from a young age, giving Ugashi amazing Chakra control. At a very young age, all Ugashi shinobi(it's rare you see a Kunoichi due to their beliefs)are taught Water Walking Skill and Water Clone Jutsu. At some time or another - usually between ages of 12 and 14, depending - they are taught Water Style: Exploding Water Shockwave(Suiton: Bakusui Shoha) as it is required to learn it before being allowed to learn any other water based techniques.
One of their biggest and best known traditions(aside from discouraging women to become ninja) is how they mark the coming of age. Shortly, sometimes right after, becoming a chuunin, the child is allowed to sign a blood contract with Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi, two giant Koi fish, one white and one black, respectively. After graduating to Chuunin, the child is considered a true ninja of the Leaf and of the Ugashi clan. Thus, every Ugashi Chuunin level and up can summon both Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi, or any of their sons and daughters.
Clan Weaknesses:
Since most Ugashi's chakra nature is Water, they are naturally weaker against Earth Style Jutsus.
Many of their "secret" jutsus consume a lot of chakra. Younger Ugashi are very prone to damaging their own body to the point of not ever being able to recover, even with extensive medical treatment. Though the Ugashi generally have exceptional control over their chakra and exceptional amounts to spare, their techniques can still prove deadly. And its not just the younger ones, even the older, experienced shinobi are prone to over do it. They've been known to die in battle after doing so too.
The Ugashi often tend to put pride before sense and can harm both themselves and their team mates when doing so.
The Ugashi, despite their extremely wide spread gene pool, have one hereditary trait that is passed on to many of their generations. Often times, more than 70 percent of any one generation is effected. They are cursed with Alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency, a hereditary lung desease that causes a range of symptoms, from Bronchitis to Emphysema, or any other range of Chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases.

Other common health related issues generally occur within the upper body; lungs, heart, respiratory, torn arm and shoulder muscles, they are prone to vision loss early in life, even blindness before age 60. Many Ugashi end up damaging their hands and feet due to the mass amounts of chakra used in battle, and, oddly enough, many suffer from chronic muscle pains, especially in the back, shoulders, arms, and legs.
Clan enemies: None, though they tend to compete a lot for the sake of pride with other clans.
Clan Jutsu:
Summoning: Sun and Moon(Kyuchiyose: Taiyo toka Tsuki): After graduating from Genin, all Ugashi are allowed to sign a blood contract to summon two giant Koi fish, Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi. One is white, the other black, respectively. They may also summon any of the two fish's children.
Water Style: God of Water/Water God(Suiton: Mizukami) - The most well guarded secret in the Ugashi Clan. Their most powerful jutsu and an Ugashi may only learn it on their own after being told about it by their father when he decides they are ready. Its considered an honor for an Ugashi child to be able to teach themselves how to preform the Jutsu. The Jutsu uses mass amounts of chakra. Younger, less experienced Ugashi will have to use all of their chakra while the older ones may be able to get away with using only 80 to 90 percent of their chakra. The amount of chakra put into it also gives the attack even more power than it already has. By standing on water and channeling chakra into a mass below their feet, in the water, the user forces the water to rise up, with themselves on top, and take the shape of a giant fish. The fish resembles a giant Water God from one of the Clans old mythological stories, giving both the fish and the jutsu there names. The fish's size generally varies, depending on the power of the user. Either way, its huge. The user can manipulate the fish to engulf the target and drag them far under the water and hold them there in order to drown them. However, the jutsu, given the mass amount of chakra it consumes, can only be used for a maximum of five minutes, even with the extremely experienced Ugashi. Younger Ugashi may be lucky to be able to preform it properly at all.
Is this Clan open for use by anyone else? Sure.
Known members: Kaji Ugashi, Hanako Ugashi, Tao Ugashi, Tres Ugashi, and Kaisuke Ugashi.

Alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency (A1AD or Alpha-1) is a genetic disorder caused by defective production of alpha 1-antitrypsin, deficient activity in the blood and lungs, and deposition of excessive amounts of abnormal A1AT protein in liver cells.[1] There are several forms and degrees of deficiency. Severe A1A deficiency causes emphysema in adult life in nearly all people with the condition, various liver diseases in a minority of children and adults, and occasionally more unusual problems.[2] It is treated by avoidance of damaging inhalants, by intravenous infusions of the A1AT protein, by transplantation of liver or lungs, and by a variety of other measures, but it usually produces some degree of disability and shortens life.
Symptoms of alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency include shortness of breath, wheezing, rhonchi, rales may be present and appear to be recurring respiratory infections (but isn't), or obstructive asthma that does not respond to treatment.
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), also known as chronic obstructive airway disease (COAD), is a group of diseases characterized by limitation of airflow in the airway that is not fully reversible. COPD is the umbrella term for chronic bronchitis, emphysema and a range of other disorders. It is most often due to tobacco smoking[1] but can be due to other airborne irritants such as coal dust, asbestos or solvents, as well as preserved meats containing nitrites [1].
